Please Don't Go

"Where's Korra?" Asami asked, very concerned about her friend.

"I don't know." Mako replied. He was looking around the area when he saw a terrifying sight: Korra, lying on the ground, not moving whatsoever.

"Korra!" Mako shouted. He ran over to Korra and held the unresponsive Avatar in his arms. Her loose hair feeling so smooth in Mako's hands. She had several scars and a gash on her side. Little did Mako know, Unalaq, whom was unconscious due to Vaatu being pulled out from him, woke up and used the water beneath him to make several ice darts and aimed it Korra and Mako. Just before he was able to throw them, Asami kicked him from behind, once again rendering him unconscious. Asami then put her head up and saw a worried Mako, trying to wake up Korra.

"Korra!" Asami shouted. She was about to go when Bolin put a hand on her shoulder, indicating that they should just stay where they are. It also showed her that there was no need to help Korra because she was never waking up.

"Korra! Please say something! It's me, Mako! Can't you hear me?" Mako said shakily, tears beginning to fall down his face. His warm tears fell upon Korra's cold face, but that still didn't wake her up. Seeing this, Asami began to sob for her fallen friend as Bolin held her close. Tenzin fell on his knees in shock and while his siblings simply bowed their heads in sorrow. As for Eska and Desna, they actually began to shed tears.

"Goodbye, my fallen cousin. May the heavens grant you peace. I will miss you, loved one." Eska whispered.

Mako was now getting angry. There's no way that Korra is gone. He shook her violently and shouted at her, hoping she would wake up.

"THIS ISN'T FUNNY, KORRA! I'M NOT LOSING YOU AGAIN! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS DOING TO ME??? DO YOU????!!!!!!" Mako shouted with anger and sadness. He then felt hands on his shoulders, trying to restrain him.

"Mako, stop it! It's no use! Korra...is gone. Is this how you want to remember her? Shouting at her when you know nothing's gonna bring her back?" Bolin asked, trying to keep his strong voice while shedding too many tears. Mako got the message and held Korra close to his chest.

"Korra. I'm so sorry. If only I hadn't dumped you, you wouldn't have had to gone through all of this. I'll always love you." Mako cried.

"I know."

Everyone lifted their heads up in shock and surprise, even Mako. They thought they were going crazy since they pretty much heard a familiar voice. Mako looked down again and pulled Korra from his chest, her head in his hand. A few moments later, Korra weakly opened her eyes halfway.

"K-Korra?" Mako stumbled out.

"Hi Mako. I'm back." This caused Mako to crash Korra back to him in a strong and tight embrace. As for everyone else, they rejoiced as if they had not just a lost a friend a few minutes ago. Bumi lifted Kya up in a hug, Tenzin constantly bowed on his knees thanking the spirits, Eska and Desna simply smiled, and Bolin and Asami cried and hugged each other again, this time in joy. Since everyone was distracted, Mako and Korra managed to talk.

"Please promise me you won't leave me like this again." Mako started in a serious tone.

"I'll try. Until then, I'll just need you as a bodyguard." Korra replied. She then lifted her hand up to Mako's cheek and pulled him into a kiss, to which Mako kissed back without hesitation. He didn't care if anyone else was watching. He was just glad he had his Korra back.
